Fishing 2014 - snaps
As is the custom every year, we had fishing this year too. Last year, we had not put much of spawn. However, the initial catch was very encouraging.

Fishing at NJH
As is the tradition at NJH since quite a long time, we started the process of fishing from the hospital pond last week. Below are the snaps from the whole exercise.

Every family received 1.5 kilograms of fish at a subsidized cost. And none was wasted. We wait for the next round of fishing next Saturday.

Vizhinjam Harbour
Similar to last year's holiday, we decided to go scouting along the coastline this time too. This time, we visited the Vizhinjam harbour. The breakwaters putting up a strong front to the enormous waves was quite a site. However, we were in for more sights inside the fishing harbour.

A visit to the fishing harbour . . .
We spent 2 days relaxing at a quiet fishing village some 70 kms away from Trivandrum city. The place's name is Muttom, Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu. Few of the snaps taken on the day we visited the local village fishing harbour early morning when the fishermen were returning after a whole night of fishing.
